Switching business energy suppliers

Switching your business’s energy supplier is now more convenient than ever, thanks to industry changes and our straightforward step-by-step procedure. We work to guarantee a smooth transition, ensuring that the switch occurs exactly when you require it.

Switching energy providers to meet your business needs with AskTED takes three steps and can be done and dusted worry free in just 5 working days in most cases.

Identify

Identify your energy provider and establish what contract you are currently signed up for and the end date of your current contract.

Most energy suppliers include your contract end date and tariff details on your energy bills, but if you can’t find them there, you’ll be able to find them on your signed contract.

Confirm

Confirm the amount of energy you will likely use over the next twelve months. Prices are generally based on your consumption levels, so having an accurate figure in mind is essential.

You can sometimes find your annual energy consumption on your energy bills – look for EAC (estimated annual consumption) for electricity or AQ (annual quantity) for gas. If you don’t know your annual consumption, a good estimate can be worked out by adding up your monthly energy usage for the year.

Understand

Understand your business requirements and establish what you are looking for. This includes identifying the fuel type you want and the contract length that you require.

There are many options available, from standard energy to carbon offset and fully green, renewable energy. Depending on the supplier, contract lengths are generally between one and five years.

Discover

Discover quotes and contracts from leading UK energy providers. Compare offers and get the best deal for your business.

We aim to provide you with as many options as possible so you can be sure you are getting a full view of the UK energy market. Supplier offers are constantly changing, so be sure to check in regularly to see how your current tariff compares.
